I know what you might be thinking: “Matt, you work for a professional beer drinking company, are you really going to attempt to write a heartfelt letter to your loyal blog following about what the Kanga team is thankful for?”
Alright, I know, but like Eric Church said we’re “havin’ a record year.”
Even though we goof around, are the life of the party, and are constantly pulling pranks on each other around the office, it’s important to realize how blessed we are to be where we are. In the busyness of life, it is easy to forget to thank the important people: Parents, relatives, friends, and especially coworkers.
The Webster dictionary defines the word coworker as followed: Coworker [Noun]: a person with whom one works, typically someone in a similar role or at a similar level within an organization.
Kanga defines it as family: People we spend summer, winter, fall, spring and everywhere in between. We define it as late nights, weekends, road trips, and hotel rooms. Office pranks, tik toks, meal prepping, and no one, between the CEO or a seasonal intern, is above helping ship in the warehouse or picking up food for everyone at lunch time. We define it as tough love, challenging each other, and pouring all of our passion into our craft.
Working with family can be difficult: you argue about important decisions, think your personal ideas are better at times, and have the occasional fight; however, the pros will always outweigh the cons because we get to wake up everyday and do what we truly love.
We’ve come a long way in three short years. From starting in Logan’s parents basement, to our kick starter, to our very lucky break on shark tank, we went from barely scraping by as most startups do, to being able to open up our brand new office in downtown Greenville. Pretty sweet if you ask us.
So the college entrepreneurship class project that resulted in us getting a “C” has played out pretty damn well thus far.
The best part? We are just getting started. To all of our loyal followers, fans, and supporters we say a thank you that could not be overstated enough. You have allowed us to chase our dreams and truly make this wild rollercoaster of an adventure worth every second. We wouldn’t be around without all of your support and each and every one of you.
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
Thanks for making this “work” feel a whole more like “play”.
We hope you and yours have an incredible Thanksgiving and, as always, Cheers!
