KANGA
Keepin' Cold Ones Cold Since 2017.
We’re 5 close friends with completely different backgrounds united by one simple thing: we love cold beer. When we were assigned a class project to create an idea that solved a problem we faced, we knew exactly what it would revolve around.
We found ourselves drinking warm beer at a tailgate in Clemson, South Carolina. For the love of all that is holy, why are we drinking warm beer!?! We all had $300 coolers that could keep beer cold for a few weeks but didn’t use them to keep our beer cold for a few hours? This made no sense.
Well, we didn’t use our coolers because we didn’t want to have to deal with ice and hauling the huge thing all the way to our tailgate a mile from where we parked. So, instead, we stopped by the convenience store, grabbed a cold case, and just carried it with us to drink it as it got warm. We found our problem... Warm... Beer... Sucks!
With this in mind,
we noticed something very profound at the tailgate next to ours. It might seem normal to most, but what it represented was life changing. We saw someone take a cold beer out of a cooler and put it into a can insulator. What we really saw was someone take a cold beer out of what made it cold (the cooler) and put it into something to keep it cold for the entire time they’ll actually enjoy it (the Insulating Sleeve).
THAT’S when it hit us: WHY THE HECK ISN’T THERE A CAN INSULATOR FOR A WHOLE CASE!
We took it out of a fridge (what made it cold), but we needed something to put it in to keep it cold for the entire time we were actually going to enjoy it without the ice or hassle!
Right then and there, the vision for the Kanga Kase Mate was born. There was no going back. We realized what we had to do: end the tyranny of Big Cooler and set millions free from having to choose between cold OR convenience.
A HISTORY OF COLD DRINKS
2017
The Kase Mate Is Born
Kanga Was The Result Of A Class Project at Clemson University. The Project tasked each group to find a solution to a problem they faced. So, naturally (being the 20-somethings that we were) our problem was that of warm beer. And, while we only made a B on the project, we walked away with something much better. A dream, and means to fulfill that dream.

2018
We Launched A Kickstarter
Within a class project, Kanga's Founder and CEO, Logan LaMance came up with the Idea of the no ice, keep the case, cooler. Formally known as "The Kase Koozie" a name which lasted for only a short period of time, the Kase Mate was born.
2019
We Went On Shark Tank
In April of 2019 Kanga had it's 30 seconds of fame. We also had the opportunity to yes to a Shark, watch "No Way" For the full story

We Rebuilt The Kase Mate
After Our first Production Run We Decided To Beef Up The Kase Mate, adding a stealth pocket, padded handle, and improved insulation.
2020
The Kanga Brand Got A Facelift
2020 We Decided to get a little work done and update the Kanga Brand. New Logo, Graphics, the whole 9 yards.

We somehow got a Kanga NASCAR Truck. Shocked and excited, I grew a Fumanchu for a month and rewatched Talladega Nights more times than I'm proud of to prepare for the big day. Combine that excitement with a week- long Mini Van road trip from South Carolina to the race in Iowa, stopping in Nashville, St. Louis, and Des Moines on the way, and you've got yourself one hell of a time.

Our weekly traditions... Every Monday morning we host a "Mastermind" session where we eat Chickfila and share our learnings / observations from the previous week. Every Friday we have "Fun Friday" ... sometimes this means shooting hoops with a cold one in the warehouse, sometimes it means the whole team meets in Clemson to have a forgettable/unforgettable night of bar hopping and karaoke. Both equally fun, the first just a smaller hangover.

Had to be the time we got a blob. To this day, the blob was one of the most legendary experiences on Clemsons campus and still finds its way into conversations.

Shark Tank Premiere- Video Opener to kick off the night. Packed house, months of preparation all building up to a moment that would ultimately change the course of the company. Seeing the reactions to the video opener with the audience reinforced the narrative that despite the attention surrounding the event, these were just a bunch of 22 year olds pursuing a dream, and making it a reality. This moment opened my eyes to what Kanga could become, and the endless opportunities open to be pursued.

The Clemson-Nashville leg of the Iowa tour. With our search for the magic cornstalks becoming less promising, we ventured through the 1-40 corridor screeching down rock slides and through gas station liquor stops.
